Jeffrey Waks is an expert accountant, financial analyst and economist with over 35 years of experience in his field. Jeff graduated from The University of West Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and minors in Finance and Economics and continues his education in accounting, software, management, sales and economics at St. Pete College and online institutions. Jeff also attended Western Michigan University in the Hayworth College of Business. Jeff has worked in many industries starting his career as an Assistant Controller for a construction materials manufacturer and general contractor in Tarpon Springs Florida. During his career he has functioned as a Finance Manager, Controller and Implementor of Accounting Software ERP Solutions. Born July 30, 1963, he grew up in the middle-class Detroit suburb of Southfield Michigan where he attended Southfield Lathrup Senior High School. He is the son of Stuart Waks and Rose Sandler. He has one brother Dan Waks, a stepbrother Jeff Sandler and two stepsisters Alissa and Carrie Sandler. Stuart Waks was a successful sales manager for a pharmaceutical company, West Wood Pharmaceuticals during the 1960’s and 1970’s. Jeff’s’ father served in the U.S. Army during the mid 1950’s in the signal core. Jeff’s mother Rose served companies in various professional offices functioning as a Credit Manager and Executive Administrative Assistant. Stuart Waks died of a cancerous brain tumor January of 1980 when Jeff was sixteen years old.
After working for companies in his field Jeff started a consultancy practice in 1994, Business System Solutions where he successfully implemented an ERP software package Armor Systems Excalibur and Advantage Premier. Jeff implemented these ERP systems for retail, manufacturing, service, and distribution companies in the state of Florida. After the year 2000 Jeff sold off his clients and returned to work as an Accounting Manager in the aerospace and defense industry. Later Jeff worked as a Division Controller of Circa Telecom USA, Inc. In his spare time Jeff has published many articles, and blogs on designing accounting systems, business, macroeconomics, personal finance and government policy. Jeff currently serves as a Director, Accountant and Financial Analyst at Boutique Accounting Services, Inc. Jeff married Diane Albertson in April of 2002; together they have a daughter Autumn who is an accomplished All-Sate Flute musician, first chair for Pinellas All County 11th Grade Band and a student at Tarpon Springs High School and member of The Tarpon Springs Leadership Conservatory for the Arts. Autumn Waks is second chair Flute for the concert band and in the marching band in her high school. In his spare time Jeff enjoys water skiing, boating, reading and writing. Currently Jeff is authoring and writing a book about economics and democracy in the Unites States.
